Candidates are elected by their peers through secret ballot. To be eligible, you must prove regular activity in the last three years, in one or more of the following areas:
- Press, broadcast on radio, TV, video or electronic media;
- Publication of works of art history, aesthetics or criticism;
- Higher education in art, history or art criticism, aesthetics or curatorship;
- Curatorial or analytical work for educational purposes, including the production of educational or critical texts for museums or galleries, whose main objective is not exclusively commercial.
The application for membership must be sent by letter or email to the president of the national section, including a statement of motivation and an updated curriculum vitae.
Applications for membership are evaluated at the Annual General Meeting held at the beginning of each year.
